A brief that was both technically challenging and creatively exciting. The question from the client was simple – "can you design a foyer statement that says we are the world’s biggest game software and have it not look like an arcade game!"

Technically, the assignment called for an 11 metre curved foyer wall with an unusual architectural cut out that revealed the receptionist station. A smaller double door feature was also designed for a staff only section of the tenancy.

The foyer design conceived was of an ominous, tunnel-like 'other world' space. It formed a Hades style metaphor for what becomes of those businesses not ready for the competition that game software creation generates.

A corollary to this is of the heat generated in the creative and marketing process of the business internally as well as being indicative of the inner world of code in which the games code writers worked.

Designed to welcome corporate visitors to a serious business HQ, but suggesting caution as they proceed!
